This industry leading coupler features Original Style Head Medium Centerset Metal Couplers, and #850 O Scale centering spring and comes complete with Metal Gearboxes and lids. The #805 Metal Coupler may be mounted with the included #805 Metal Gearbox or #818 Metal Gearbox (sold separately), #817 Plastic Gearbox (sold separately), #819 Extended Metal Gearbox (sold separately).

The #805 O Scale Metal Gearboxes & Lids are not interchangeable with the #818 O Scale Metal Gearboxes & Lids. You can't mix and match #805 Metal Gearboxes or Lids with #818 Metal Gearboxes or Lids.

It is not recommended to use a metal coupler directly on a metal surface or in a metal draft gearbox to avoid possible electrical crossover and shorting that may cause damage.
