VW's camper vans are the bee's knees when looking for a reliable and well-kitted out holiday home on wheels and their T4, first produced in 1990 proved their enduring appeal. Designed by VW's commercial division under contractor Westfalia, the vehicle was introduced with a short front, as modelled here. In real life, VW chose to modify the nose and give it a facelift in 1996.
Our Oxford 1:76 scale model (6.2cm in length) is decorated in silver grey with black and silver exterior trim, registered J162 GCH from 1991/92. It has a pale grey interior and black steering wheel. The rear seated passengers access the rear cabin via the sliding side door. Note too, that our vehicle is left hand drive.
